Mr. P.S. Jayakumar’s entrepreneurial journey started in 2008 in an unlikely area of low-cost housing. In partnership with the serial entrepreneur Jerry Rao, they launched two start up ventures in the low cost housing space that would address the demand as well as the supply side of affordable housing. Value Budget Housing, is a residential housing construction company and has pioneered a manufacturing approach with IT technology in construction of affordable housing. Home First Finance, a NSE listed company, provides innovative long term mortgage loans to low and moderate income households. Earlier Mr. Jayakumar spent 23 years with Citibank in India and Singapore and was also the Managing Director and CEO of the Bank of Baroda.
